Ok, so this is a question I get asked A LOT – almost nearly every day someone will ask me ‘what do you eat’?, ‘how do you stay so skinny’? (which is a word I hate by the way), ‘how do you stay in shape’? etc. Now the time has come where I’ve finally decided to tell you guys what I eat in a day, a regular, random day of the week.
Please note that I don’t watch what I eat, I eat what I crave because my body feels like it needs it. I’m a 5’2(ish), size 4/6 and do a lot of activities – I work on my feet all day and then go to the gym, circus arts, rock climbing etc
Fruit & yogurt smoothie with a blueberry muffin
Fresh Pine Nut Pasta Salad. Tea and biscuits (can’t help it, I’m British)
Apple with peanut butter and raisins
Veggie Stuffed Potato
I tend to drink around 3 litres of water per day usually, sometimes a little less/more dependant on what I am doing. On an average day I take in around 1,200 calories, if I am being more active than usual I will add a little extra to compensate for that. Usually it will be something simple like a 2 egg omelette and just enough filling for flavouring. However, I don’t do this by calorie counting I just do what feels right!
I want to add that just because this works for me, doesn’t mean that it will work for you; you need to find what is right for your body type & lifestyle. I eat breakfast the second I wake up which isn’t for everyone and I typically don’t eat after 7.30pm but if you only finish work at 10pm you’d bloody starving by morning so just figure out a good eating routine that suits you.
