It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Here are my Christmas outfit ideas for 2017, there’s a couple of amazing trends that are making the rounds again and I think everyone should dabble in a fun new style for the holidays.
- Outfit Number 1
Let’s start with a statement piece, personally I would wear both the top and trousers as an outfit because I think it totally rocks. Maybe not for the faint hearted but if you pair this with an amazing black fur coat you can choose whether to dazzle all or not!
- Outfit Number 2
Show off your sexy side with this outfit! I adore contrasting combinations like this one… There’s enough glitz on top to draw attention but it’s not over whelming when paired with something a little more ‘toned down’. You could go with jeans, a skirt or my fave choice leather or PVC trousers!
- Outfit Number 3
Velvet is back with a bang! It has had a bad rep in the past but as a 90’s baby I’ve always had a soft spot for it and there’s some lovely pieces back on the market right now. There’s a couple of ways to wear it so don’t let this trend pass you by.
Unfortunately we all know that the actual allocated time for ‘British Summer’ is coming to an end and there’s only a few good things that come from that – one being end of summer sales! So here’s my top 6 tips for sales shopping right and with ease this month…
Tip Number 1 – Create A List
This is for the simple reason that you won’t end up purchasing spur of the moment items, unless you genuinely love them. Walking into a sale without an idea of what your looking for is bound to leave you over spending, so are you really getting a bargain after all?
Take note of whats missing from your closet, what pieces have you been craving for a while now? Focus on them and don’t get distraction by the heavily discounted items that you don’t really want/need.
Tip Number 2 – Go Alone
It’s best to leave all distractions at home when your sale shopping if you are able to. Friends slow you down and give you too many opinions, it’s what you like not what they like so get a sitter and leave the friends and family behind – just for a couple of hours, you can aways regroup afterwards and share what you purchased.
Tip Number 3 – Don’t Discard Damaged Items
I know that this one might sound bit weird but honestly if you have an item whether it’s a jacket or a nightstand, don’t disregard it just because it’s damaged because it can always be fixed. You can DIY a small scuff or a broken drawer and why would you put the Gucci jacket back on the rack when it’s discounted for half of it’s price and it may only cost you 15 to correct it?! Sometimes these can be some special finds that will become treasured pieces for years to come.
Tip Number 4 – Rummage In The Changing Rooms
Not a lot of Brits like to do this for the fear of looking rude (no idea why) but rummaging around the changing room racks is a sure fire way to find some good clothing pieces. During the sales the shop assistants are lucky if they get 5 minutes to put all of the tried items of clothing back on the shop floor and the best items will have been picked up and tried on before you even get there. The items just may not of been the right fit/colour/style for someone else but they may be perfect for you.
Tip Number 5 – Fed & Watered
Ensure you take snacks and water – do I sound old yet? You know what I’m talking about each time the sales are on you can guarantee strolling past someone who’s collapsed on the floor in the middle of the city because they were too bust and forgot to eat/drink. If you carry something around with you then you avoid this from happening, eating a snack at the onset of dizziness/weakness can boost your energy back up until you feel ready to sit down and eat properly. May sound silly now but it will buy you more time!
Tip Number 6 – Go Late
Unless there’s something you are 100% sure is going to sell out then don’t get to next at 5am or stand in a line at Kurt Geiger. I know this may sound contradictory but you get the best deals later in the day, especially on a Sunday; it just depends where you go and what you want.
Typically big brands and chain stores will offer to get the order purchased or delivered if they are sold out. The only time I ever get there early is for one off stores and boutiques who can’t provided more stock than what they have. It will be a messy minefield to go later in the day but 3pm is my favourite time to go, everyone is getting tired and heading home by then so the atmosphere is a lot quieter.

Summer – the season that seems to be most awaited here in the UK, I feel like the majority of Brits live for summer and are disappointed every year when it doesn’t come around (properly). If we are lucky we can say with confidence that we have 2 weeks of pure sunshine and warmth every year and because it’s such a glorious occasion we must dress the part…
I own a ridiculous amount of bikinis and swimsuits even though I hardly ever use them, however when I pack for a holiday the majority of my luggage contains various different types of swimwear. So regardless of whether you are staying in the UK, live in a warmer climate or are shopping just for your holiday, these are my top picks for swimwear this year…
As some of you may know there are 2 different sides to my fashion personality, one very lady like and ‘classy’ and the other is probably what would most likely be describes as an ‘Instagram baddie’ but I think I’m too old to coin that term now!

- I adore this tropical inspired one shouldered swimsuit from New Look, it’s elegant yet screams summer vacay! The frill is a lovely touch to add for detail but it isn’t so big that it gets in the way and the pop of different colours works beautifully together. It’s definitely a favourite of mine, it comes in at £25.00 and is available is sizes 6-14.
- This one piece from Missguided is amazing, I love the cut of the piece and it kind of gives me 70’s vibes when I vision how I would style it. I like the amount of coverage it gives whilst still having sex appeal which the low back design effortlessly adds to. At just £18.00 it’s a steal, sizes range from 4-16.
When I first saw this bikini online I instantly became obsessed and had to track it down! I eventually found it on Romwe for just £11.99, I was literally so happy when I found this – one thing to point out is I purchased a size S but I wish I’d of sized up, as you can see from the picture the garment is very tiny so I think I would of felt more comfortable in a size M.The bikini is very well lined for the price and even includes modesty panelling in the top to give a little lift! This bikini comes is sizes S, M, L & XL – my estimation of these sizes is roughly 6-12.
- This bikini from Pretty Little Thing gave me LIFE, I love it. Personally it’s not an item that I would ever go swimming in but for poolside, beach or lounging around in it’s great.; the reason for this is that the top is mesh so in other words it’s completely see through (apart from the baby cactus overing your nipples). In all I think it’s adorable, minus the choker and that sarong! I think that’s the best part about it. All together in comes in at £40.00 as you purchase the bikini and sarong separately, comes in sizes 4-16. Bikini & Sarong.
