Hi Guys, welcome/back to my blog, Maddox Empire! Thanks for watching my How To Style a Bob tutorial – next video live on Thursday at 4pm. Keep in touch via social media platforms and don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE.
As much as I don’t really like to admit to this I will for the sake of this article, I absolutely hate washing my hair. It’s too thick, it takes forever to dry on it’s own and then having to commit to staying in all night to air dry it is just too big of a commitment for me! I wash my hair 1-2 per week because it contains no oil (probably due to the amount of times I’ve dyed it), this is enough for me especially through the cooler months when I don’t have ocean salt & sand in my hair.
Today I’m going to tell you my hints, tips & tricks for disguising dirty hair, they work so well for me. Let me know what you think in the comments section below?
- Dry shampoo – the new girl’s best friend. I don’t use much dry shampoo 2 medium sized bottles last me the whole year but I couldn’t live with out it! It disguises a multitude of sins when it comes to hair, bye bye oil, bye bye lifeless lacklustre hair, bye bye grown out roots… I’m sure you get the picture by now? I would recommend using a small amount about 8 inches away from the head, directed at the roots and then flip your head upside down to run your hands through your hair to blend the texture. My favourites are Batiste Tropical & Floral & Flirty
- Hair oil – I know your probably thinking “what the hell’ right? I would suggest using a small amount of hair oil on the ends of your hair as it balances out the texture, this looks lovely if your hair is long enough to plait.
- Hair style – there are so many ways you can style your hair to hide oily roots, below are some of my favourites. If you would like a tutorial on how to do any of these just let me know.
- Hair accessories – there are tons of accessories you can incorporate into your own personal style for bad hair days! Personally I like using bandanas, turban headbands or flower crowns 🙂
